##### A New Calendar When was Nisan 1 in ancient Biblical times, specifically when Jesus existed? More than likely, Jesus (Yeshua) was born and died on the first of Nisan in the Jewish calendar, sometime around our "Easter," not born on December 25th according to our Gregorian calendar. Why would shepherds be watching their sheep at night in the dead of winter? But are there only 12 months as the Gregorian calendar says? If so, why is September not the 7th month? Why is October not the 8th? Why is November not the 9th or December not the 10th? Sept = 7, Oct = 8, Nov = 9, Dec = 10, when speaking about them as Latin roots, but why not with months? How many days are in a year? Supposedly 365, but Enoch (in the Book of Enoch thrown out of the modern day Bible, albeit scriptural in nature) wrote that there were 364 days per year; it divided the year into four seasons of exactly 13 weeks. Each season consisted of two 30-day months followed by one 31-day month, with the 31st day ending the season. If we stick to the modern day structure of months, 364 days would give us exactly 28 days within a 13 month year, 13 weeks per season, 52 weeks per year using a 7 day week. This would correct our calendar and not disturb the normal 7 day week flow in which a large majority of the populus live their lives. The following table shows 1 to 13 in Latin: I've included 0 as a starting digit to represent the potential for "leap year" days or times where the solar, lunar, and star patterns begin to deviate from the 364 day cycle, if they even do; I've never tried mapping the days like this as I'm forced to live in a specific calendar "world" but will begin documenting these things to verify if it needs to stay or not. Either way, if there does need to be a "nihil" day, it would only fit to be a "nihilistic" day of rest (prayer and fasting) for all to remember and pray for those who don't believe in God, despite his evidence all around. | Number | Latin Numerals | Pronunciation | | ------ | -------------- | ------------- | | 0 | | nihil | | 1 | I | ūnus | | 2 | II | duo | | 3 | III | trēs | | 4 | IV | quattuor | | 5 | V | quīnque | | 6 | VI | sex | | 7 | VII | septem | | 8 | VIII | octō | | 9 | IX | novem | | 10 | X | decem | | 11 | XI | ūndecim | | 12 | XII | duodēcim | | 13 | XIII | trēdecim | Since I'd prefer the start and end of the year to fall on Jesus' actual birthday (sometime around "Easter" as stated earlier) I'll begin mapping the months in the Gregorian calendar month of March (somewhere in the middle), as this would help to coincide with the well known September, being the 7th month, October being 8th, etc. pattern. I may deviate from this slightly, based on the spring equii which would begin on March 19th (night) / 20th, 2024, as I'm sure this would line up with the 13 month pattern leading into month 7, 8, 9, and 10. The real question before documenting is, should the months be named something different than just their Latin number? Personally, I don't see a reason for this, as time, or rather, the naming of time, days, dates, etc. should be of less importance than what it actually means for productivity, planning, crops or societal flourishing. --- Today is the day of March 19th, 2024 in the obsolete Gregorian calendar. Tonight, I'll be starting a new year, year 1 of a proper calendar not built on the names of dead emperors and lies, but rather, logic and maths. I'm excited to say the least! I know that time isn't what it seems as well, but that quest comes later. For now, I'll be tracking the moon, its position and general star formations as I'm able, depending on the clouds, both man made and God made. --- #### Journal ###### Year 1, Month 1, Night 1 Spring Equinox - Gregorian - March 19th, 2024 The night is cool, the skies are clear and the moon is approximately 2/3 full, positioned slightly southward (180°), directly overhead. Orion is clearly visible at 240° SW near the lower right quadrant while facing the moon. The start of the new year has begun. The day was clear and cool, then warmed slightly. The trees are already dropping pollen and the cherry blossom's first bloom and flower fall happened about 10 days ago. ###### Year 1, Month 1, Night 2 Gregorian - March 20th, 2024 The night is a bit warmer than last night and skies are relatively clear. I've felt annoyed today, but I don't believe it's weather related. I wonder if the moon will be more of a guide to me throughout the year... The day was nice and the trees are starting to sprout their little leaves. I've had good, mellow energy today. ###### Year 1, Month 1, Night 3 Gregorian - March 21st, 2024 The night is cool with minimal cloud seeding chem trails, although it seems they're ever present these days. I feel relaxed and unmotivated but it's almost the end of my work week The day was cloudy and rainy, cooling temps pretty dramatically. I couldn't see much of anything through the thick clouds. I felt introspective while busy with work. ###### Year 1, Month 1, Night 4 Gregorian - March 22nd, 2024 The night was cloudy, cold and rainy, a constant drizzle with no thunder storms. The air turned uncomfortably cold around midnight, almost as if I could feel it through the walls. The day was way colder than anticipated with bitter cold winds. The skies were clear and the children began acting squirrelly... A full moon approaches.
